Notice about COVID-19 and Updated Visitation Policy

We are excited to be able to welcome our families back! Due to COVID-19, we’ve adopted a strict visitor policy to help keep our residents safe. To ensure the safety of you, your loved one, and our staff, all visitors must follow the directives set forth by the NYS Department of Health. Please note the following guidelines when visiting:

  • All visitors MUST be screened on arrival for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Required screening consists of both temperature checks and screening questions to assess potential exposure to COVID-19. Visitation will be refused if the individual(s) exhibits any COVID-19 symptoms or does not pass the screening. If you have traveled outside of New York State in the last 2 weeks, please do not schedule a visit.
  • Visitors must schedule an appointment with the facility to visit a resident. Visits are scheduled on a first come first serve basis. All visits are scheduled to allow time for staff to sanitize the visitation area as per CDC guidelines in between each visit. Visits will be outdoors with limited indoor exceptions for weather. Visits may also be postponed due to inclement weather.
  • During the visit, visitors must wear a face mask over mouth and nose at all times. We will provide face masks to visitors who lack an acceptable face covering.  Visitors must use alcohol-based hand sanitizer before and after the visit. A social distance of at least 6 feet between visitors and resident must be maintained at all times with no physical touching (hand-holding, hugging, kissing, etc.) permitted. No food or drink can be shared. Restrooms are not available for visitors.

Please Note: Visitation will be refused if the individual refuses screening or to wear a mask. If any visitor fails to adhere to the protocol, he/she/they will be prohibited from visiting for the duration of the COVID-19 state declared public health emergency. In the event of a case of COVID-19 in the facility, visitation will be suspended for at least 14 days.
