Notice about COVID-19 and Updated Visitation Policy

We are excited to be able to expand our visitation guidelines for our licensed programs! Eddy Senior Living visitor policies allow for comfortable visits with family and friends, while still keeping our residents safe. For our licensed programs, directives set forth by the NYS Department of Health changed as of March 3rd, 2022. Please note the following guidelines when visiting:

  • All visitors MUST be screened on arrival for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Required screening consists of both temperature checks and screening questions to assess potential exposure to COVID-19. Visitation will be refused if the individual(s) exhibits any COVID-19 symptoms or does not pass the screening.
  • During the visit, visitors must wear a face mask over mouth and nose at all times while in common areas. We will provide face masks to visitors who lack an acceptable face covering.
  • All visitors must go directly to the apartment of the resident they are visiting. No wandering and convening in common areas will be permitted at this time.
  • Visitors must remain socially distanced from other residents and staff at all times.
  • At this time no visitors are allowed in the dining room or at scheduled activities.
  • Please do not visit if you are sick.
  • Visitors are asked to use alcohol-based hand sanitizer before and after the visit.

Please Note:  Visitation will be refused if the individual refuses screening or to wear a mask in common areas.

  • In addition to the above-mentioned guidelines, based on the Dept. of Health requirements for licensed Adult Care communities issued March 3, 2022, if both the resident and visitor are vaccinated, masks are not required when in resident apartments. If either the resident or visitor are unvaccinated or if the resident is experiencing symptoms, both parties must remain masked for the duration of the visit.
  • No eating and drinking is permitted during the visits if unvaccinated.
  • Hand hygiene must be completed at the time of screening. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer is available at the screening table and located in numerous places throughout the community. We suggest you also sanitize your hands before leaving the community as well.
  • NYS Dept. of Health guidelines for Adult Care Facilities calls for physical distancing of 6 feet or more as part of infection prevention. As such, we ask that visitor groups keep to small numbers and take into account resident apartment space.  Groups may be asked to visit in a common area location depending on size and distancing capability.
