During quiet time this morning, I was thinking how quickly I made the decision to move here, lost my dear husband three years ago, on the first day of Lent … had never considered a retirement home, totally unfamiliar to me, but through a friend’s family and mine, I heard there was an opening at Eddy Hawthorne, had the tour; beautiful apartment available, and had moved in three days before Easter.
And it was a good decision … life is so much better, to live alone and keep a house would have been hard, difficult for me and worrisome for my family.
And Eddy Hawthorne Ridge is a really good place to be … all the employees are great, the place is so well kept, and meals are excellent. Can’t say I am totally enjoying Old Age but it happens, and I am so glad I’m here.
